3. Thin Lizzy. "Jailbreak" (1976). Time to recommend one of those underrated bands that perhaps weren't very lucky, because they had plenty of talent. This was the case of Thin Lizzy. Jailbreak was their sixth album, which put them on the global map. Their vocalist Phil Lynnot, stood out for his great lyrics (very Bob Dylan-like, themes of protest, street, bars and poems from Ireland, his land), and he was also a black man (a rarity in those times in the hard rock genre).
In fact, this great character was inspired by Jimi Hendrix and imitated him a bit in his physical appearance (and unfortunately died from heroin and alcohol abuse).
Thin Lizzy's Jailbreak: A Classic Rock Masterpiece
The band stood out for its "twin guitars" (played by Gorham and Robertson) that sound masterfully in songs like the opener "Jjailbreak" "Boys are back in Town" (their big hit), "Cowboy song" and the great closing song, "Emerald". Without a doubt this album is a masterpiece that combines the best of rock, which are good guitars and rebellious lyrics.
