Grilling Fish Made Easy

Marinated....grilled snappers cooking with salt, pepper and seasoning to taste.

Grilled fish or fillet can actually be made with any fish of your choice. On this occasion we are using snapper. Take note of what we need to do.
1- One or two snappers (or fish of your choice) previously cleaned, without scales or fluids, or fillet also previously cut into the portions you want to cook.
2- We are going to season our fish with a little salt and pepper to taste. We can also marinate the fish with any seasoning of your choice, as shown in the illustration.
3- Once marinated, we place our portions of fish on the grill or pan and, we watch its preparation so that it does not burn, or the meat becomes too dry. This part will take between 10 or 15 minutes turning the fish or fillet on both sides.
4- Once cooked, we place our portion of fish on a plate to serve the dish with some type of salad of your choice. We remind you that the fresher the fish, the better the flavor!

Grilling Fish Made Easy: A Step-by-Step Guide

When grilling fish, firm, medium-thick cuts with skin are recommended. This will help the fish cook evenly and not fall apart when you turn it over.

Some of the most popular cuts of fish for grilling are:
Fillets: These are thin, boneless cuts, ideal for fish like salmon, sea bass or hake. They cook quickly and are easy to handle on the grill.
Slices: These are cross-sectional cuts of the fish, ideal for round fish like tuna or swordfish. They tend to be thicker than fillets and require a little more cooking time.

Something very important, and we would like to mention it, is that some species of fish are in closed season, so we should avoid consuming species protected by government institutions. Dorado, snapper, corvina and many other fish may be seasonal, depending on the region where you live.

Presentation... you can prepare a vegetable or salad to accompany the dish. Tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber, onion, and even avocado can make this delicious salad. There is no rule for cooking, remember that imagination is very important, and you can give it a personal touch or that of your region.

As final notes, and in addition to the salad, we recommend that you make some kind of sauce to taste, either pre-made or made by you. Tomatoes are ideal for preparing this sauce accompanied by a touch of chili or peppers, onion and cilantro. Also in the image, we show grilled fish, it consists of the same procedure, but in a typical stove or brazier, it is also very tasty. Enjoy!
