The Mazatlan Cathedral consists of a basilica plan, with three naves, which have the same height. It has an octagonal dome with a lantern, crowned by an iron cross. The towers have two bodies and have finials in the shape of truncated prisms, which are crowned by a cross. The façade of the cathedral consists of three pointed arches, with a strong neo-Gothic accent, which serve as an access gate to the main arch, semicircular and supported by pilasters, which support the triangular pediment.
